Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to Shaw Park Lookout, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Ocho Rios. You’ll then visit a charming 18th-century cathedral with historic architecture and original stained-glass windows. Next, stop at a local basic school to interact with the children; guests may bring a small gift if they wish.
Continue to Rio Nuevo Village to explore the Great House and Taíno Museum, followed by a visit to the Rio Nuevo Battle site, one of Jamaica’s most significant historic clashes. Enjoy the peaceful grounds, meet friendly farm animals, and take photos before experiencing an exciting zipline adventure through the lush landscape.
The day concludes with a delicious authentic Jamaican lunch of jerk chicken or jerk pork with rice and peas or festival and garden vegetables—an ideal finish before returning to your hotel or cruise ship.

Hotel Guest: Tour departure time begins at 9:00 am but will vary depending on the location of your hotel. You will be contacted 24 hours before departure to reconfirm pick up time. Cruise passengers: After exiting your ship, walk straight in the direction of the white tent or white canopy. The independent Tour operator area is located between the tent and the building. Dispatchers will be there to direct you. Your guide from Fun Tours Jamaica will be waiting for you in the independent Tour Operator area, wearing an orange shirt with the company logo on it. Please plan to arrive at the meeting point 20 minutes before the departure time.

What to expect

After departing the cruise ship, guest will enjoy a scenic drive to the beautiful Shaw Park Lookout, where you’ll take in breathtaking panoramic views overlooking the town of Ocho Rios. From there, head into the heart of Ocho Rios for a brief but enjoyable shopping stop, giving you time to explore local craft stalls and duty-free stores.
Your journey continues to Rio Nuevo Village, a heritage rich estate filled with culture, history, and fun. Here, you’ll tour the Great House and its fascinating Taíno Museum, learn about the historic Battle of Rio Nuevo, and meet the friendly farm animals that roam the property. Guests will enjoy the thrill of an exciting zipline experience, soaring above the river and the lush scenery below. The tour concludes with a delicious authentic Jamaican lunch on property.
