Visit the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, one of Vietnam's most unique temples. Built in 1049 by Emperor Ly Thai Tong, the pagoda is famous for its distinctive lotus-shaped design and the legend of the emperor's dream of the Goddess of Mercy, who blessed him with a son.

After lunch, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, founded in 1070. This peaceful historical site showcases traditional Vietnamese architecture and reflects the country’s long-standing dedication to education and scholarship.
Visit Hoa Lo Prison, a historic site that tells the story of Vietnam’s colonial and wartime history. After the visit, return to your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Tour ends around 4:15–4:30 PM.
