Through disturbing photographs, exhibits on napalm and Agent Orange, and the Requiem Exhibition honoring fallen photographers, it vividly portrays the suffering and destruction of war. The ground floor’s international anti-war posters offer a poignant contrast, underscoring the museum’s deep historical significance.
The Independence Palace (or Reunification Palace) is a key historical site in Ho Chi Minh City. Built in the 1960s, it was the former residence of South Vietnam’s presidents and became a symbol of national reunification when tanks entered its gates on April 30, 1975. Today, visitors can explore its preserved rooms and artifacts, gaining insight into Vietnam’s history and heritage.
The Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, built by the French between 1877 and 1880, is an iconic landmark of Ho Chi Minh City. Featuring Roman and Gothic architecture, its red-brick façade and twin 58-meter bell towers make it a striking sight. With beautiful stained-glass windows inside, the cathedral remains both a sacred place and a symbol of Saigon’s rich heritage.
The Central Post Office of Saigon, built by the French between 1886 and 1891, is a beautiful Neo-Classical landmark in District 1, near Notre-Dame Cathedral. With its elegant façade, vaulted ceiling, and murals of old city maps, it stands as both a functional post office and a fascinating symbol of Saigon’s architectural heritage.
