    Santuario Nacional de Cristo Rei

    Visiting the National Shrine Cristo Rei in Almada with a good tour guide is a highly recommended experience. The National Shrine Cristo Re is located near to the 25th of April Bridge in Lisbon. You will get to know Lisbon from different perspectives that will surprise you. Come and discover the history of this place and what similarity it has with the Christ of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Here, we will have ample time to truely appreciate this wonderful experience.

    Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara

    We will visit this place with an incredible view of Lisbon, right in front of the Castle of São Jorge. From this hill, we will also have the opposite perspective to the viewpoint of Our Lady of the Mount, which we will visit later.

    Lisbon Cathedral

    The oldest church in the city. This is one of the most visited places in Lisbon. Here we will have time to take some photos and learn about the history of the place.

    Miradouro Das Portas Do Sol

    Portas do Sol viewpoint This viewpoint is essentially one huge balcony above the ancient Alfama neighborhood. Its panoramic view has illustrated countless postcards, showing what looks like a colorful Mediterranean village cascading down to the waterfront. It’s a mandatory stop for anyone who wants to take the best photos of old Lisbon, with the towers of the Monastery of St. Vincent and the dome of the National Pantheon standing out in the skyline.

    Santa Luzia Viewpoint It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Lisbon. To this contribute the trams that pass and make the bells ring; the magnificent decorative tile panels; One shows what was the Praça do Comercio before the earthquake of 1755 and the other shows how was the battle to retake the city in 1147 between the Cristians and the Moors.

    Miradouro Da Senhora Do Monte

    The Miradouro da Senhora do Monte is one of Lisbon's most important landmarks. It is also one of the quietest and least sought after viewpoints in the city, despite having an exceptional panoramic view. A few meters from the viewpoint of Graça, its stage format is a privileged audience to observe the capital. On your left you will find the church of Graça and the castle of São Jorge, imposing and majestic, as the guardian of the city. In the background the sea of straw and the estuary of the Tagus shine and illuminate the roofs of the Baixa and the ruins in Carmo. All this in the space where the first King of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques installed the camp for the conquest of Lisbon in 1147.

    Mosteiro de Sao Vicente de Fora

    We will visit the incredible building of the Monastery of Saint Vincent Outside the Walls. During the siege of Lisbon, in 1147, D. Afonso Henriques made a promise: if he succeeded in conquering the city, he would commission the construction of a monastery dedicated to Saint Vincent, a highly worshipped Saint among the Mozarabs. This monastery was founded in the same year “outside” of the city walls, thus justifying the building’s toponymy.

    Panteao Nacional

    National Pantheon Considered the Portugal’s first baroque monument, and its interior is inspired by St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, and made up of colored marble. It was the Church of Saint Engratia when it was built in 1682, but became the National Pantheon in 1916. Its large dome was only completed in 1966, making it the monument that took the longest to complete in all of Portugal.

    Alfama

    This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon, where the traditional music of Portugal, Fado, is born and maintained. You will be able to visit the old houses that survived the terrible earthquake of 1755. This is one of the popular places in Lisbon, where the feast of Santo Antonio is celebrated in the month of June.
