This is the only place in Japan where you can walk around the Satoyama area while wearing a traditional Japanese kimono.

You can choose from 300 types of kimono, and a professional will help you put it on.

You can also take photos of cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, snow, and other things unique to Japan.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

Please park your car in the Hourakukan parking lot (the parking fee is free). From here, "Kimono and Japanese Culture House" is about 3 minutes on foot. Kimono and Japanese culture experience house　at Takumi no Sato Please use the bus from Jomo Kogen Station (charges apply).

What to expect

1. Kimono wearing (hundreds of different styles to choose from): choose your favorite kimono from among the beautiful kimonos.

2. Choose accessories. We will suggest hair ornaments and accessories that match the kimono and the occasion to further enhance the finish of the kimono.

3. Try on a kimono. We will coordinate the obi and accessories.

4. After wearing the kimono, take a walk in the takuminosato.

5. The return of the kimono Please arrive by 3 p.m.
