An expert from a long-established tea shop in Hida Takayama for over 100 years will give a lecture on how to brew delicious tea by using a teapot that suits each tea leaves.
You can choose 3 types of tea leaves from 5 types of green tea, 5 types of roasted green tea , and 5 types of blended tea and compare them.

What to expect
Why don't you enjoy making tea with Kyusu (Teapot)?
We would like you to feel the Japanese culture by cherishing your time while making tea inside your busy life. Sitting in a real tatami room from Nabeshima tea shop (certified as a tangible cultural property).
Our instructor will give you basic tips on how to brew Japanese tea with a Kyusu, you will be able to brew real Japanese tea by yourself.
・Select 3 types of tea leaves from 5 out list of different green tea, 5 types of roasted green tea, and 5 types of blended tea.
・The instructor will explain you on how to brew each tea by using a specific pot for each tea leaves.
・You can enjoy not only the tea but also Takayama’s seasonal sweets.
・At the end of the class, we will give you souvenir.
The class will be held in Japanese.
If you like to take our tea experience in English, we can arrange our professional tour guide & interpreter Luca from Amico del Solevante Tours. Please contact us (at least 3 days before the preferred date) from our website specifying the number of participants, time, and date.
Fee: 4,500 JPY, per person (includes the interpreter for 1 hour, tea experience, sweets and a souvenir)

- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Service animals allowed
- Strollers are allowed inside the store, but since the session takes place in a tatami room, please hold your baby.
