What to expect
【Experience Details】
・Grinding Matcha with a Stone Mill (Approx. 20 minutes)
Use a traditional stone mill to grind tencha, the raw ingredient for matcha, into fine powder by hand. It takes about 20 minutes per person to grind matcha, allowing you to enjoy the calming moment of grinding and preparing your own matcha. As there is one stone mill, participants will take turns grinding, but the total duration for two participants remains about 60 minutes.
・Matcha Whisking & Tasting (Approx. 20 minutes)
After a demonstration, whisk your own bowl of matcha using a chasen (bamboo whisk), and enjoy it together with seasonal unique to Takayama.
・Souvenir Included
A complimentary small souvenir is included.

We are happy to arrange sessions for group of more than two people if you contact advance, but please note that additional time will be required.

- Strollers are allowed inside the store, but since the session takes place in a tatami room, please hold your baby.
