Discover Madrid through its food and wine on this small-group experience designed by a Spanish Wine Scholar.
Leave the tourist traps behind as you visit a carefully curated selection of intimate bars, traditional taverns and market stalls (when available), each chosen for its authenticity and outstanding local produce.
Taste a selection of premium Spanish wines expertly paired with regional dishes while learning about Spain's fascinating wine regions, grape varieties and culinary traditions. Every stop has been selected not just for its quality, but because it's somewhere independent that most visitors would never discover on their own.
More than a food tour or a wine tasting, this experience is an introduction to Spanish culture through its two greatest passions: food and wine. Whether you're completely new to Spanish wines or already an enthusiast, you'll gain the confidence to order, taste and enjoy wine like a local for the rest of your trip.
Go to the statue and we'll be identifiable by holding a red piece of paper.
We'll start our tour in a local, authentic market where we'll walk among local sellers of produce and other Spanish products before stopping at a stall to sample something delicious and start with our first wine from the Madrid region to get us started.
Cheese & wine bar We'll head to a small, but enjoyable cheese and wine bar focusing on fewer products but those of quality and with a great story. We'll sample another Spanish wine paired with two cheeses.
Taverna We'll head to small tavern/tapas bar to try some cured meats paired with a specially selected wine.
Taverna We'll sit down at a last stop in the historical taverna where we'll typically try croquetas of the creamiest form, tortilla de patata and enjoy a traditional dessert. All of course, enjoyed with a carefully selected wine for pairing.
