  Green Mosque

  The Green Mosque, built between 1412–1419 during Sultan Mehmed I’s reign is a masterpiece of early Ottoman architecture. Located in Bursa it’s named for its stunning green and turquoise İznik tiles that decorate the interior. The mosque is part of a larger complex that includes a tomb and theological school. Visitors are drawn to its elegant domes, intricate tilework and serene courtyard. Still active as a place of worship the mosque offers a rich cultural experience and is a must-visit landmark in Bursa.
