With Sea Native Surf Co, you will get the local, Costa Rican surf experience you’ve been dreaming about. Our instructors are all native to the area, and each one has endless knowledge about the surf. We are known for our good vibes, Pura Vida mentality, and our passion for surfing. Surfing is all about having fun and living in the moment, and that is our number one goal for you. We guarantee you will enjoy your lesson with us.
We are in Tamarindo Beach, one of the best beaches to learn to surf in the world!
Whether you’ve never surfed in your life, or you have some experience, we will curate a lesson to your skill level and goals. With our thoughtful coaching, we can help you succeed no matter what you wish to accomplish.

Meeting point

Please find your way to Pico Bistro. You can park in the parking lot adjacent if necessary. Next to Pico and in front of the parking, you will see the lifeguard tower. We are the surf school to the left of the lifeguard tower (if you are facing the water).

What to expect

When you arrive at the surf spot, we will work together to pick out the perfect board and rash guard for you. Next, we will begin with a brief, informative theory lesson on land where you will learn everything you need to know about safety and how to get up on the board. Once everyone feels confident, we will head out in the water and spend the rest of the time catching and shredding waves! After the lesson, we will come back to the spot and fresh coconut waters will be provided to everyone that surfed.
