The Meeting Point : General Information Center on the first floor
The Hakata Doll Painting Experience at Shogetsudo in Fukuoka offers visitors the chance to paint their own traditional Hakata doll, creating a unique and personal souvenir. The experience typically lasts about an hour and includes the use of necessary painting materials provided by the venue. The experience is suitable for both adults and children, and no prior experience is necessary. After painting, visitors can take home their dolls as a special memento of their trip.
Kushida Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine, known as the guardian shrine of Hakata. Visitors can see several notable features at the shrine, including a 1000-year-old ginkgo tree designated as a natural treasure of Fukuoka, sacred stones linked to historic Mongol invasions, and the "Chikaraishi" strength-testing stones. Additional attractions and events at the shrine throughout the year include the Setsubun Festival in February featuring the large Otafuku mask and the Hakata Okunchi autumn festival.
Travelers visiting Ohori Park in Fukuoka can enjoy a beautifully maintained urban oasis rich in nature, culture, and leisure activities. Visitor can stroll or jog around the approximately 2-kilometer circumference path surrounding the pond, often enjoying the sights of wild birds and seasonal flowers. Ohori Park is a popular spot for outdoor recreation such as walking, jogging, cycling, pet walking, and birdwatching.
You will ascend to the observation deck, located 123 meters above ground, offering a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of the city, Hakata Bay, and the nearby mountains.
