You will also have the opportunity to plant an oyamel tree, which is the preferred habitat of the monarchs, and contribute to their conservation. After lunch and souvenir shopping, depart for Tlalpujahua, a former mining town that is now famous for its handcrafted Christmas ornaments. Visit Santa’s House, where skilled artisans create beautiful decorations with hand-blown glass. Return to Morelia in the evening and enjoy some free time.
