The Maspalomas dune system is a unique wilderness in the Canary Islands because of its beauty and diversity of ecosystems. Its 400 hectares, protected by the Canary Government as a nature reserve of special value, include a fantastic beach, a dynamic sand dune system, a palm grove and a brackish lagoon. This mix of desert and oasis is located at the southern tip of Gran Canaria and is surrounded by the famous seaside resort of Maspalomas.

We will then take the road to Pico de las Nieves the highest point in Gran Canaria. To appreciate the essence of a place and soak up its atmosphere, nothing better than to get to the highest point. In Gran Canaria, it is the viewpoint of Pico de las Nieves, in the center of the island. At an altitude of 1,949 metres, in good weather, you will have a breathtaking view of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, with its countless deep valleys and jagged ridges, shrouded in vegetation and crowned by spectacular rocks.

We will then take the road north to Gran Canaria and make a stop at the viewpoint of the “Caldera de Los Marteles”. Created by a volcanic eruption in contact with groundwater, this crater (Caldera) is about 80 m deep and 550 m in diameter.
