Our local host will take you to the Tlacolula de Matamoros market where you can enjoy an impressive cultural wealth. After touring the market we will make continuous stops at different traditional food stalls from different communities in Oaxaca. You will be able to enjoy different traditional dishes and we will explore the market.

What to expect

We will go to Tlacolula de Matamoros, a town 45 minutes from the center of Oaxaca, visit its historic market that exists since the 16th century where we can see all kinds of crafts coming from different villages around the central valleys (this experience is only available on Sunday). We will tour the entire market where we will taste unique dishes, a real street food experience. We will also move to a distillery of mezcal to taste the most artisanal mezcal you will taste.
