This place is considered the first Ghetto in the entire word, created in the '500, has been the house of the Jewish community for centuries, and it's sill the center of the Jewish culture in Venice.

Together we are going to explore the beautiful Campo de Gheto, I will explain to you everything about how this Ghetto was created and why. We are going to see five Synagogues from outside and two of them from the inside.
I will talk to you about the suffering of the Jewish people during WWII and we will discover the amazing story of Doctor Giuseppe Jona.

The meeting point for the tour is in the "Campo de Ghetto Novo", in front of the big monument of the Shoah, next to the entrance of the restaurant "Ba Ghetto". In case you are lost or you can't see me, call me and I will help you find the way.

    Discover with me the amazing history of the first Ghetto in the world. I will guide you around the Campo del Ghetto and inside two of the five Venetian Synagogues, a renascence treasure that survives the Shoah. I will be delighted to tell you everything about the Jewish Community of Venice nowadays, my traditions, Judaica arts and the incredible Ashkenazy and Sephardic culinary legacy that has been left in the Venetian cuisines.

    The Spanish Synagogue is the biggest off the five "scola" situated in the Ghetto. Discover with me the beautiful details of the Aron ha Qodesh sculpted in marble, the mystery of the "error" in the floor and how the Spanish ad Portuguese Jews arrived here after the expulsions of 1492 and 1496.
