You’ll ascend roughly 550 feet to the top of the falls, where a natural emerald pool awaits you—perfect for a refreshing swim with panoramic views stretching all the way to the Caribbean Sea.

    The trail to Antelope Falls is considered challenging due to its steep terrain, but the effort is well worth the reward. As you ascend through lush jungle, you'll encounter a vibrant mix of wildlife, tropical flora, and fauna unique to Belize’s rainforests. The hike takes approximately 1 hour to reach the top, covering 1.1 miles each way and gaining 550 feet in elevation. Just before the summit, a short spur leads to a breathtaking viewpoint, offering sweeping views of the Stann Creek District and all the way out to the Caribbean Sea on clear days. At the top, hikers are rewarded with a refreshing swim in a natural pool fed by the waterfall—the perfect way to cool down after the climb. After a relaxing dip and time to soak in the scenery, you’ll retrace your steps down the trail—a much easier descent that lets you fully enjoy the beauty of the surrounding jungle.
