I don’t know about you but I get bored looking at very average looking pictures taken by expensive cameras. With just a little bit of knowledge and practice your pictures will WOW people. You’ll see it on their faces how impressed and genuinely moved they’ll be by what and how you captured it. Don’t let your pictures of NYC just be informational, have the techniques to make them express emotion.

L, N, Q, R, W, 4, 5 and 6 trains stop at union square station and we meet at the front of the park. More specific instructions follow.

What to expect

We start in Union Square Park, finding special pictures using depth of field, blur and panning techniques, intimate street portraits, not the run of the mill tourist photos. I teach how to get them using camera settings and an open manner. We do this in the subways and streets as we head towards Chinatown and Little Italy. You’ll learn a lot in a short time, I keep the class small so I can be very attentive to the individual. If you feel there’s a street photographer in you, I guarantee this tour will be a blast!
