La Leona Waterfall and ATV Adventure
Experience two of Guanacaste’s most exciting adventures in one day. Hike through the volcanic canyon to La Leona Waterfall, where you can swim in clear turquoise water beneath the falls. Then ride an ATV along scenic trails through Curubandé, a rural community at the foot of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.
Along the way, your local guide will share stories about the area’s Indigenous heritage and everyday life in Guanacaste. Enjoy views of rivers and countryside, with a chance to spot monkeys and tropical birds. ATV . Curubandé is a small village near Liberia, nestled at the foot of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. Its Indigenous past lives on in nearby petroglyphs and in the legend of Princess Curubandá, whose story is tied to the volcano’s name. Today, the village welcomes visitors with the warmth of rural Guanacaste and easy access to its rivers, waterfalls, and trails.

2Leona Waterfall Rincon De La Vieja
Rincón de la Vieja National Park brings Guanacaste’s volcanic landscape to life. Walk through tropical forest, spot wildlife, and discover bubbling mud pots, steaming vents, and waterfalls along the trails.
