    Tarangire National park

    Tarangire National Park

    From fig tree lodge and camp to Tarangire national park. Depart from fig tree lodge at 07:00am for a drive to Tarangire national park. Here you will arrive at the park around 7:45am, at this time it is the best time to have a game drive because animals are roaming around looking for pastures for herbivores or meat for carnivores, Tarangire is the paradise of elephants so many herds of elephant will be easily spotted. After a game drive we will depart back to fig tree lodge and camp around 05:00pm Overnight stay at fig tree lodge.

    Depart from fig tree lodge at 07:00am for a drive to Serengeti national park at Ngorongoro we will arrive around 07:45am, at this time we will process permits for transit at the gate to proceed to Serengeti national park, No overnight stay at Ngorongoro we will use Ngorongoro as a Transit to Serengeti and spend a night at Serengeti National Park [Camping at Nguchiro Public campstie] We will drive around Serengeti National Park, The Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world within its 14,763 Sq. kms area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animals-zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here - including the big five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. The park is famous for the annual migration of wildebeest. [Overnight at Nyani public campsite].

    Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro After an early coffee you will head out for game drive in the Serengeti. You might be able to spot the "Big Five" - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard - before embarking on your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering you an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day - glistening streams, open grassland and an infinite amount of animals. You will spend the night at Simba campsite directly on the crater's edge with the orange glow of sunset surrounding you as you drift off to sleep.

    Ngorongoro

    Ngorongoro Crater

    Early risers are rewarded with breath-taking views of the rising sun over the crater's edge and, after a hearty breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO world heritage site, one of the seven wonders of Africa and most incredible ecosystems on Earth, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano, is 610 m deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25 000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In matter of minutes you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass. After lunch you will ascend the steep walls of the crater and head to Arusha an overnight stay.
