This is not a typical wine tasting where you just sit and drink.
Here, you become part of Georgian culture. You don’t only learn about the Tamada, you actually become one. You will create your own toast and lead the table, just like in a real Georgian supra.
The experience is interactive, personal, and focused on storytelling. You will understand the meaning behind Georgian toasts, traditions, and wine culture in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Instead of only tasting wine, you leave with a new skill, cultural knowledge, and a memory you can talk about long after your trip.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We are meeting travelers at Maksim Gorki street 5, Tbilisi, Georgia. In the restaurant Wasserstrasse.
What to expect
This is not just about tasting wine. You will learn how to lead a traditional Georgian supra like a real Tamada.
During the experience, you will:
• Taste different Georgian wines, including traditional Qvevri wine, dry red and dry white
• Learn about Georgia’s 8,000-year-old wine history in an easy and interesting way
• Understand what a Georgian supra is and why it is so important
• Discover what a Tamada does and why this role matters
• Create and say your own Georgian-style toast
At the end, each guest will have the chance to become Tamada for a few minutes and lead a toast.
This experience is perfect if you want to understand Georgian culture, meet other travelers, and enjoy wine in a relaxed atmosphere.
In Georgia, wine is not only about drinking. It is about sharing stories, emotions, and connection.
