What to expect

Shared shuttle from Antigua Guatemala to Flores, Peten, the gateway town to Tikal National Park. We pick you up at your hotel in Antigua at 4:00 am. The trip takes about 14 hours, with a few stops along the way to eat, buy snacks, stretch and use the bathroom. Due to local regulations, shuttles cannot enter the island of Flores, so the drop-off point is the "Yo Amo Petén" sign at the entrance of Flores, around 6:00 pm. From there, you can easily walk or take a tuk tuk to your hotel.
