Canals and rainforest Tortuguero is known as the "Amazonas de Costa Rica" for its canals, lagoons and rivers, which are covered by boat or kayak. During the tours, you can see a wide variety of flora and fauna in a dense and humid jungle environment. Wildlife Among the animals that can be seen are: Howler monkeys, whites and spider Lazy.
