At Enchanted Islands Tour Operator, we believe in empowering divers to make a positive impact while exploring the underwater world. Every dive is a chance to contribute to vital marine conservation efforts in the Galapagos Islands, one of the most unique ecosystems on Earth.
Seymour channel is one of the most popular dive sites due to its good activity and proximity to Santa Cruz Island. From Itabaca Channel (North of Santa Cruz) it is a short 25 minute boat ride to the dive site. Various sharks, rays and reef fish can be expected. The hammerhead sharks also like to come by. A special highlight are the garden eels, hundreds of which peek out of the sandy bottom.
Seymour channel usually has moderate, sometimes surprisingly strong currents. The dive site is suitable for all levels of experience.
You descend close to the island down to the sandy bottom at about 20-25 meters. Garden eels inhabit the sandy ground, schools of eagle rays float past you, and occasionally golden rays, too.
The pickup service applies for lodgings in Puerto Ayora, it does not apply for hotels or airbnb located in Highlands.
If your lodging is located in the highlands, this will be the meeting point where we will pick you up.
