    We'll walk through Retiro Park. It is the main historical garden of Madrid, created in the 17th century as a recreational space of the Austrian monarchy. It eventually became public use and today combines formal gardens, wooded areas and ponds. Highlights include the Big Pond, the Crystal Palace and the Velazquez Palace. Since 2021 it has been part of the Landscape of Light, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

    Las Ventas Bullring

    We also see the bullring of Las Ventas. It is the main bullfighting thing in Madrid and one of the most important in the world. It was opened in 1931 and is built in neo-Mudéjar style, with rich ceramic decoration. It has a capacity of more than 23,000 spectators, being the largest in Spain. It is considered the most demanding square for bullfighters and ranchers.

    Templo de Debod

    The temple of Debod is an Egyptian shrine from the 2nd century BC, dedicated to the gods Ammon and Isis. It was a gift from Egypt to Spain in 1968 for help in saving the temples of Nubia. It was moved stone by stone and rebuilt next to the Spanish Steps. It is one of the few original Egyptian temples that can be seen outside Egypt.

It was consecrated by Pope John Paul II.
