Home to over 18 anime production studios, Kichijoji transforms into a dream destination for anime lovers during this period. The streets will buzz with excitement for the 20th Kichijoji International Animation Film Festival and anime, where fans, artists, and creators come together to share their passion for Japan’s most iconic art form.
On this exclusive tour, you’ll visit a manga and anime exhibition at Gallery ZENON, Coamix Inc.’s flagship gallery, and experience the world of anime up close. Depending on your interests, we can also explore hidden anime photo spots, discover unique manhole covers featuring beloved characters, browse anime-themed shops, and stroll through nostalgic shopping streets that inspired countless stories.

Meeting and pickup
Meet up at the Information desk on the 1st floor of the Atre Main Building, directly connected to Kichijoji Station. You can look for the flower shop next to the information desk as a landmark.
Harmonica Yokocyo is located a short walk from the north exit of Kichijoji Station.

Gallery ZENON – Step inside the flagship gallery of Coamix Inc., a publisher known for bringing beloved manga to life. This stylish space celebrates manga as a true art form, showcasing stunning original works and special exhibitions that change throughout the year. The specific exhibition details for the 2026 event will be announced in December 2025.

2Kichijoji
Kichijoji Town Walk – Explore the anime-inspired streets and discover why Kichijoji continues to capture the imagination of artists and creators alike. Your guide will lead you through iconic local spots such as: ● Harmonica Yokocho: A nostalgic maze of over 100 tiny izakaya, bars, cafes, and boutiques tucked into narrow alleyways, perfect for photos and people-watching. ● Sunroad: A lively 300-meter-long shopping arcade with around 150 shops selling everything from local snacks to fashion and souvenirs. ● Daiyagai: Kichijoji’s very first shopping street, shaped like a “T” and filled with charming, long-established stores that showcase the town’s history and character. Along the way, spot anime-themed manhole covers, photo spots reminiscent of Studio Ghibli scenes, and other local details that make Kichijoji a treasure trove for anime fans and photographers alike.
