Bender Fortress – Explore the mighty Ottoman fortress, home to centuries of battles and legends. House of Culture (1962) next to river port (abandoned). Lunch at a Soviet-Style Canteen – Enjoy an authentic Soviet meal, where nothing has changed for decades.

    Tiraspol: The Soviet Capital That Never Changed Main Square or War Memorials – Pay respects to soldiers from WW2 (1941-1945), Afganistan war (1979-1989), Transвnistrian war (1990-1992) and Chernobyl disaster liquidators (1986-1987). Lenin’s Monument – A towering presence across from the Parliament. Victory Park – A peaceful green space showcasing old Soviet amusement park, Ferris wheel and Kotovsky statue. Looks semy abandoned but still beautiful. Central Open Market – Wander through one of the tidiest and best-stocked open-air markets in Eastern Europe. House of Soviets – A classic example of Stalinist architecture. National Theatre – Located near one of Transdniestria's most peculiar statues.
