Explore Kampot countryside with a visit to La Plantation, the region’s most famous pepper farm. Enjoy a self-guided walk around the farm or join a guided experience with tasting to learn more about pepper production.
During your visit, you can also enjoy complimentary tastings of selected pepper products prepared at the farm.
We spend around 2 hours at the farm, giving you time to explore, relax, or enjoy the café and restaurant area (not included).
The tour continues to the salt fields (seasonal) to learn about traditional salt production, followed by a stop at a scenic countryside lake.
In some cases, a local farm such as Botree Farm may be visited instead, offering a more authentic experience with a free tour and tasting.
Please note: only one pepper farm is visited per tour.

Meeting and pickup
The tour normally starts opposite Epic art cafe. but we can also pick up and drop off directly from your Hotel or restaurant located around 3km only from our meeting point without charge.

1Salt Fields
Spent 15 minutes for driving to here.Salt is another of Kampot’s important products. Ocean water is pumped into the pans from canals, then allowed to evaporate, leaving a thick layer of salt coating the ground. Workers rake the salt carefully into piles, collecting and moving it to storage.

2Phnom Chhngok Cave Temple
30 minutes to here. Admire the wonderful views from the Phnom Chhngok cave temple

3Brateak Krola Lake
Spent 25 minutes to here. The lake and a dame we built by slaves labor during khmer rude. impressive size is the man-made. A large lake, way outside of town, mostly unpopulated, with a dirt road around the lake.

4La Plantation
Only one pepper farm will be visited per tour (La Plantation or a local farm such as Botree). At La Plantation, a free self-guided visit (~15 minutes or more) is included. Optional visit to Botree Farm with free tour+tasting(Depending group agreement)

5Kep Crab Market
40 minutes to here. Finally with test seafood or lunch at crab market and swim or relax on the beach before heading back to Kampot.
