Discover Kyoto on a private seasonal car tour with an English-speaking driver-guide, combining Fushimi’s waterways with classic city highlights. Start in Fushimi, a historic sake district known for old breweries, willow-lined canals, quiet lanes, and a softer local atmosphere than crowded temple areas. Guests may choose the Fushimi Jikkokubune boat ride at their own expense when it operates. Sakura views from the boat are only possible during cherry blossom season; outside that period, the ride offers canal scenery, greenery, hydrangeas, autumn colors, and sake-town views. Continue to Fushimi Inari for red torii gates, Kiyomizu-dera and Higashiyama for temple views and old lanes, and Gion or Kamogawa for wooden houses, lanterns, riverside scenery, and Kyoto’s seasonal atmosphere. During peak sakura season, boat tickets are limited. Contact us at least 7 days before the tour if you want us to try booking. Boat tickets and booking support cost extra, and availability is not guaranteed.

For hotel pickup, please wait in the hotel lobby or at the main entrance at the scheduled pickup time. For station pickup, please provide the station name, preferred exit, arrival time if applicable, and meeting details in advance. For apartments or private accommodations, please provide the full address and entrance instructions.

Please contact us at least 24 hours before the tour start time with your preferred route and any special requests. If you would like to include the Fushimi Jikkokubune boat ride, please let us know in advance. The boat is a third-party activity and is not operated by us. It depends on operating dates, weather, river conditions, seat availability, safety rules, and local schedules.

During peak cherry blossom season, Fushimi Jikkokubune boat tickets are very difficult to secure. If you would like us to try to reserve boat tickets on your behalf, please contact us at least 7 days before the tour with your preferred date, preferred time range, passenger count, and backup plan. We can try to book tickets when available, but successful reservation is not guaranteed. Boat ticket fees and booking support fees are paid separately and are not included in the tour price.

Cherry blossom scenery from the boat is only possible during the sakura period. Outside cherry blossom season, the boat may still operate on selected dates, but guests should expect waterway views, sake-town scenery, greenery, hydrangeas, autumn colors, or other seasonal views instead of cherry blossoms.

If no preferred itinerary is received at least 24 hours before departure, the tour will follow the standard Kyoto seasonal highlights route.

The driver-guide will wait up to 30 minutes free of charge from the scheduled pickup time. Waiting time beyond the free 30 minutes or tour overtime beyond the selected duration may require an extra fee of JPY 5,000 per hour.

Please keep your phone or WhatsApp reachable on the tour day. If pickup information is incorrect, incomplete, or we cannot contact you, the tour may not be provided as scheduled.

Pickup and drop-off points may be adjusted if stopping or parking is restricted by hotel, station, temple, shrine, traffic, police instruction, or local regulations.

Please provide the exact passenger count and luggage quantity after booking. Luggage space depends on the selected vehicle, passenger count, and suitcase size. If actual passengers or luggage exceed the selected option capacity, a larger vehicle or additional vehicle may be required, subject to availability and extra cost.
