Experience a day of walking, exploring, and discovering living traditions on this special tour to Naganeupseong Folk Village and Goheung Udo Island.
Set out on a journey through time to Naganeupseong, a 600-year-old fortress village from the Joseon Dynasty. Wander its timeworn streets, explore traditional homes, and enjoy breathtaking views from the ancient fortress walls. Next, cross the vibrant rainbow-colored footbridge to Udo Island, a peaceful haven where life moves at a slower pace. Experience the island’s unspoiled coastal beauty and traditional fishing village lifestyle. This tour is the perfect way to discover Korea’s authentic rural charm and living traditions firsthand, away from the crowds and typical tourist paths.

Come and explore traditional Korea at Nagan Eupseong, a well-preserved Joseon-era walled town where people still live today—the only one of Korea’s three great walled towns that is still a living village! Wander along narrow dirt paths, admire thatched-roof houses and low stone walls, and take a walk on the fortress walls for a panoramic view of the village and the surrounding countryside. This charming town, a favorite location for dramas and films, also offers you the chance to dress in a traditional Korean wedding costume with your partner and take photos in front of a beautifully arranged traditional wedding table.
Inside Nagan fortress village, we can enjoy a cozy meal at a traditional-style tavern that brings the Joseon era to life, with comforting dishes such as noodles, bibimbap, beef rice soup or pancakes with Makgeolli(rice wine). If you’d like a more filling lunch, we can also try a regional cockle set meal at a nearby restaurant outside the fortress. Our lunch prices range from 10,000 KRW to 22,000 KRW, depending on your choice.
Udo is a tiny island in Goheung, often referred to as a "paradise on the sea." With just 0.54 km² of land and around 90 residents, it's a peaceful place where life moves slowly and gently. Twice a day, when the tide goes out, a tidal causeway appears, connecting the island to the mainland. In 2024, a 1.32 km rainbow-colored footbridge was completed, making Udo accessible to pedestrians at all times. The people of Udo live simply, fishing in clean waters and gathering shellfish from the tidal flats, just as they have for generations. There are no tourist restaurants or cafés—only the quiet rhythm of life in a traditional fishing village. A walk from the bridge to the viewpoint and around the island takes about three hours, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience an authentic, untouched glimpse of Korean coastal life.
