Your activity is different from others because of the knowledge of your guides. The Nosara Biological Reserve is a protected area in Nosara with a fascinating mangrove forest. Your guides enjoy explaining different processes in this environment, especially its nocturnal life. Your type of forest, considered humid-dry, is a truly interesting experience. Costa Rica has many microclimates, and experiencing this type of forest will give you different perspectives compared to others you visit while traveling through Costa Rica.

What to expect

The activity is based on searching for nocturnal life, usually a type of life that we don't see during the day, for example some insects, snakes, scorpions, spiders, rodents, mammals, etc. The beauty of this activity is exploring; sometimes we manage to see a lot and sometimes a little, but the best part is participating and being able to witness nocturnal life from our own experience without being told about it by someone else.
