Passing between the north and south of the Island, Taberna da Poncha is a mandatory stop to enjoy the famous traditional Madeiran drink, poncha. Poncha a pescador, the traditional one, is made with brandy, lemon peel crushed with sugar. As time went by, they began to make other ponchas such as regional, passion fruit and tangerine. Being also a typical Madeiran drink, they added nikita to the list. If it is made with alcohol, it is made with pineapple ice cream and beer. In the non-alcoholic version, the beer is replaced by passion fruit breeze. Thinking about children who often accompany their parents, Taberna da Poncha started making alcohol-free poncha.
