This Safari is exploring 3 whole different Areas. From discovering the Lake Manyara Rainforest and watch it's famous tree cilmbing lions, to UNESCO World Heritage - the Ngorongoro Crater, up until the savannah of Tarangire Nationalpark to witness the predators hunting during the night! On this Safari you will get the unique chance to experience a whole different ecosystem every day, but also learn about the different behaviour of the animals during the day and night.
Your Safari starts with a very early pickup at the hotel by your personal safari guide and you will receive a quick briefing about the day. Lake Manyara is named after the huge salt lake which covers around two thirds of the entire surface of the park. Thousands of flamingos can be seen here. Also hippos and more african wildlife like, Zebras, Gazelles, Warthogs and Waterbucks live in the area. With a bit of luck, you will find the tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, for which the Nationalpark is famous for. There is only one more place in the world, where lions develop this special habit. After enjoying a picnic lunch, you will continue the drive towards the exit gate. In the following, you could pass by the African Galleria to buy some traditional souveniers like animal carvings from ebony, before your guide will inform you about the next days schedule. Dinner will be served in your Lodge and the evening can be spent watching some traditional performances by local artists.
After an early pick up from your hotel in Karatu, you will head on towards Ngorongoro Crater which is not only one of the seven wonders of africa, but also UNESCO World Heritage, where lot's of Flamingo and hippos are froliccing around a natural salt lake. You will be enjoying the stunning scenery from the 2.300m high crater rim before descending down to the crater floor for a game drive. Here, you will have a big chance to spot all of the Big 5 in one place, just like many other rare animal species. After enjoying Lunch at a picnic site in the crater, you will move on towards the exit gate and head to Tarangire, where you will check in to your Lodge for the night.
Dinner will be prepared before you start on a night safari, where you will experience a whole different behaviour of the animals, especially of the wildcats. Those are much more active and with a bit of luck you can even watch them hunting. Overnight will be right in the park, which you will discover tomorrow by daytime.
After a good rest you will be picked up and taken on a full day gamedrive through Tarangire. Tarangire hosts one of the biggest elephant populations in Africa and the herds can count up to 300 animals. But its also famous for its countless Baobabtrees that can live up to 600 years. Next to some black Rhinos, which can be seens once in a while, there is a great number of Leopards, Lions, Cheetahs and more Predators which all co-exist along the permanent Tarangire River, after which the Park was named. Also bird enthusiasts will enjoy this park as it hosts more than 500 different species of birds. Your Gamedrive will bring you deep into the Nationalpark where you will stop for a picnic lunch before you will continue your safari towards the exit gate and make your way to Arusha or to the airport.
