It begins with a guided walk through the old center of Delft, one of the key cities of the Dutch Golden Age. While walking along its churches, canals and market squares, your guide will tell you about the city's rich past. The tour includes a guided visit inside the New Church, the burial place of the Dutch royal family.
After free time for roaming and lunch in Delft, the day continues with a guided visit to Royal Delft, the last remaining Delft Blue pottery factory from the 17th century. You'll see how traditional Delftware is still produced today and have time to visit the museum and shop.

Your guide will welcome you at the entrance/exit of the cruise port in Rotterdam, holding a sign with "Holland City Tours: Delft and Royal Delft”. The minivan will be parked around the corner.
Departing from the cruise terminal, you will drive through parts of Rotterdam. Along the way, your guide provides an engaging introduction to the city, its post-war reconstruction, modern architecture, and role as Europe’s largest port. You will see Rotterdam’s impressive skyline from the vehicle, before continuing on to Delft.
In Delft, enjoy a relaxed 1-hour guided walking tour through the historic city center. You will pass the Old Church with its famous leaning tower, stroll along Delft’s centuries-old canals, and explore the lively Market Square. Your guide explains Delft’s important role in Dutch history and introduces key figures such as Johannes Vermeer and William of Orange. You will also see the historic Town Hall and you'll end at the monumental New Church. The walking pace is easy, and there is also some time for questions.
At the end of the walking tour, you will enter the New Church for a short guided visit. Despite its name, the church dates back to the 14th century. Inside, your guide explains its historical importance and the royal tombs located beneath the church, which connect Delft closely to the Dutch royal family.
After the guided walk, enjoy one hour of free time in Delft to have lunch at your own pace. Delft offers a wide selection of cafés and restaurants around the Market Square and along the canals. Your guide will be happy to give personal recommendations based on your preferences. This free time also allows you to explore a bit on your own, visit shops, or simply relax before continuing the tour.
Visit Royal Delft, the last remaining 17th-century Delft Blue pottery factory. Take part in a guided visit of approximately 40 minutes through the museum and production areas, where you learn about the history, craftsmanship, and international reputation of Delft Blue ceramics. After the guided visit, enjoy up to 30 minutes of free time to browse the museum shop or relax in the café or garden terrace before continuing to the next stop.
You will arrive back at the Cruise Port in Rotterdam around 05:00 PM.
