The very authentic life of the Green Market (Bit Pazar) in Skopje is something to be felt on your own skin. Built-in 1492 by Çoban Mustafa Pasha, who later became vizier on the court of Sultan Selim I. A huge symbol of the Ottoman Time in Macedonia. In the beautiful rose garden I will tell you some stories how Mustafa Pasha actually influenced the life of the people of Skopje and what he brought here from the Mediterranean and Turkey, how he developed the villages, the infrastructure...
A fortress from where we will enjoy a beautiful view of the bigger part of Skopje, the mountain surrounding, the nature and sink a little bit in the era BC, then travel in the times of the Romans in these regions, the Byzantine Era and the Ottomans until today. I will tell you some stories and legends about the past of Skopje, about the mixed architectures of the town, about the conditions why the people have chosen this town to settle in. The fortress is a Must See attraction :)
Most tourists skip this place, but if you join the locals, they will say that there is no better place to taste the Kebacinja and the traditional Tavce Gravce than here. Owned by great people and led by a very friendly waiter this is the most visited place to eat for the locals of Skopje. Here we will use the break to taste something that you probably haven't tried ever :)
The oldest Sweets Shop in the Old Town will offer us some retro stuff from the Orient, but also some new sweets that we eat nowadays in Skopje on a very regular basis. Let the old look of the Shop not fool you, this place is something where we will gladly stop by.
