This amazing geological wonder was discovered during road construction and is estimated to be over 50 feet deep. Filled with saltwater that naturally filters into the ocean, The Hole is believed to connect to an underwater cave system stretching over four miles long — though to this day, no one has ever found its exit. ️

    The Orange Pond & Bird Sanctuary – The final stop is one of the island’s most intriguing natural features — the Orange Pond. Its striking orange hue comes from the limestone composition of the surrounding area and the lack of irrigation into the ocean. The pond’s still waters are low in oxygen and rich in minerals, caused by iron bacteria oxidizing dissolved iron, tannins from decaying leaves, and other organic matter. Some experts believe it may also result from algae blooms or mineral-rich soil leaks beneath the surface. Despite its lack of aquatic life, the pond’s vivid color and still beauty make it a must-see.
