Discover the enchanting town of Obuse, the town loved by Katsushika Hokusai, who created masterpieces such as the "Great Wave."
You will visit two different cites which have the artworks of Hokusai: Ganshoin Temple and Hokusai Museum.
Especially at Hokusai Museum, you will be able to enter the private backyard area guided by the curator.
After the visit, you will join the art workshop to draw the "Great Wave," drinking locally produced drinks.
We will pick you up at the arrival point. The driver will be waiting for you with a sign with the tour name.
The large ceiling painting "Phoenix Glancing in All Directions" was drawn by Katsushika Hokusai about 180 years ago.Its power overwhelms all visitors.Visiting the temple, you will feel Japanese beauty and tradition as well as the depth of its history.
One of the most talented artists, Katsushika Hokusai, spent his final years here in Obuse, leaving behind lots of masterpieces.On this tour, you will enter the backyard area. Guided by the curator, you will be able to discover new aspects of Hokusai's charm.
