How do you make rice paper? interesting? We will learn and try making rice paper.
In the Carpenter Village we will see the carpenters at work designing and carving wood. We will also be able to see the ship carpenters on the river busy renovating and manufacturing wooden ships.
We will stop on the way to the sleeping mats village to get to know the plant from which the mats are made and the ways of processing it into threads that will be woven into mats. Arriving at the mat village, we can watch the women and small children {the new generation} weave mats and weave the threads, creating colors for the carpets that will later be used as sleeping mats {a mattress replacement}. Meeting and pickup
The motorcycle team will be waiting in front of the hotel where clients stay in Hoi An, 5 minutes before the departure time.
The clients will go to bus/ taxi parking on Hoang Dieu Street, near Hoi An market. The motorbike team will wait there with big motorbikes.

1Thanh Ha Pottery Village
You will visit a pottery village where local people make their own pottery from clay. First, the owner will teach you how to make products such as: ashtrays, vases..then you will make it yourself...finally, you can visit their store and maybe buy some small souvenir for family and friends. In addition, you will also receive a small gift from the store as a thank you from them.

The second place you visit we call the homemade noodle factory. There you will see how local families make noodles and rice paper from rice grains. includes 5 steps: soak rice for about 6 hours, grind with water, heat a specialized pot, add the mixture, roll into a ball, cover for about 3 minutes, then take it out and place it on a bamboo tray. If you want fresh noodles, take the product from a bamboo tray, cut it by hand or by machine. If you want to make rice paper, you have to dry it and then grill it on charcoal. you will see local family doing it then you will do it yourself. Finally, you will enjoy rice paper and tea.

Next visit is the carpenter's village. You will see many products made from wood and bamboo. They are very pretty. takes a lot of time and patience to do. you can also see how they build boats, a great job..

The last place is mat village. you will see, learn and do it. Locals use mats to replace mattresses when it's hot (many years ago locals didn't have air conditioning) and can be reused after hand washing.
