La Ventana is a renowned hub for marine wildlife observation, especially mobula rays, orcas and many more cetaceans. Positioned in the Sea of Cortez, Cerralvo Island, also known as Jacques Cousteau Island, sits between two deep canyons, making it a hotspot for various marine species.
Our tour prioritizes animal welfare, ensuring gentle interactions with creatures that show interest. The captain, a local ex-fisherman, stays in touch with other captains and fishermen for real-time updates on wildlife sightings.
If luck isn't on our side, we'll explore pristine snorkeling spots instead, waiting for tips from other captains. Led by a marine biologist guide, you'll receive informative commentary and assistance during snorkeling activities, enriching your marine experience.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Meet me at the Playa Central boat ramp, there will be different boats, so ask for Hamza, I will be wearing a company shirt and wait for you just at the entry of the Beach.
What to expect
Led by a marine biologist guide and skilled local captain, you'll snorkel in vibrant coral reefs, encounter tropical fish, and enjoy a delicious meal on a secluded
beach. During the activity, our captain receives reports from other captains and fishermen about wildlife sightings such as whales, orcas and other cetaceans, ensuring that we get you on them first for an unforgettable experience. This adventure promises to immerse you in the beauty and biodiversity of the Sea of Cortez.
Please, remember that wildlife sighting are not guaranteed, we will do our best but at the end of the day, nature will decides.
