    We will explore the salt flats, visiting the salt pools where we can take photos with visual effects. We will also visit "El Ojo del Salar" (The Eye of the Salt Flat), a spring that forms a natural turquoise pool.

    Arrival of Sikuris (musicians with pre-Columbian instruments), Ceremony to Pachamama and more

    The town comes alive as the "Sikuris" arrive, playing their music. *Sikuris: a band of musicians who play the Sikus, a pre-Columbian instrument. We will also participate in the Pachamama Ceremony, an Andean ritual where offerings are given to Mother Earth in gratitude for what has been received. Throughout the day, there will be cultural activities surrounding the Toreo de la Vincha (Bullfighting with Ribbons). The vigil is a bonfire in the middle of the bullring, where there are artistic performances, musical groups, and more.

    Toreo de la Vincha Bullfighting (No Bull Harmed)

    Every August 15th, the town of Casabindo becomes the stage for a unique celebration: the Toreo de la Vincha (Bullfighting with the Ribbon). Its origins date back to the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata, where the popular religiosity of the Spanish conquest merged with the Kolla spirit of the Puna people. Unlike traditional bullfights, the bullfighters do not seek to harm the animal. Dressed in traditional costumes and with great courage, they face the bull in a true ceremonial dance whose sole objective is to snatch the ribbon it wears between its horns—a ribbon adorned with silver coins. For the feat to be valid, the bullfighter must dodge the bull at least three times before taking the ribbon. Once obtained, he offers it to the Virgin of the Assumption inside the church, as a sign of gratitude and devotion. Declared Cultural Heritage of the Province of Jujuy, this ritual is much more than a spectacle: it is the living heart of the Puna identity.

    Visit Quebrada de Humahuaca and Hornocal (14 colours Mountain)

    We will take the return road crossing the Humahuaca ravine. We will make a stop in Humahuaca to take a city tour of the historic center. Then we will take a beautiful panoramic route that will take us to 4300 meters above sea level to reach a viewpoint where we will have the 14-color mountain called HORNOCAL in front of us. There we will stop to observe the surroundings, feel the wind and enjoy this beautiful high altitude landscape.
