When you come to Japan for the first time and when you want to visit temple and shrines, you might not know the manner or how to make a visit it properly. Also, to keep the memory of the visit, there’s an original stamp which most of the temples and shrines have that you can collect.
Many Japanese people do collect Goshuin stamps for temples and shrines they visit for the memory and for the good luck.
If you make your own original temple book Goshuincho, it makes everything more special when you come to Japan for the first time.
So let’s make a stamp book together choosing from over 100 kimono fabrics and pay a visit to a shrine where I would teach you how to visit properly.

What to expect

First, I will show you my wide selection of fabrics, so please choose your favorites to make your original temple stamp book which is called goshuin notebook. I will teach you how to make a goshuin notebook the proper way, by folding and glueing papers together. It is very popular to collect goshuin stamps in goshuin notebooks in Japan—each temple and shrine has its own stamp, and it will be great memory of your visit to collect them. After the workshop, we will visit Konno Hachinagu Shrine and you will get your first Goshuin stamp there. I hope you will enjoy traditional cultural experience at my workshop.
