If you aspire to conquer the highest peak in El Salvador, we invite you to climb El Pital hill. This corner is an oasis of greenery characteristic of cold areas, offering vibrant and picturesque landscapes that captivate those seeking the beauty of ecotourism. The elevation of El Pital is 2730 meters above sea level.
Among the activities you can enjoy are camping, exploring wildlife and flora, as well as hiking through its many paths. The camping area is located between the two peaks of the mountain, creating a wind corridor with an enchanting mist that will be your company during your visit to this magnificent destination.
To reach the camping area, you will embark on a 5-kilometer journey through a forest that surrounds you with its natural atmosphere. On your way, you will come across vegetable crops, pine forests and settings adorned with flowers.

Starting from San Salvador, the capital; It will take us approximately 2 hours to get to San Ignacio, and approximately 1 hour to climb El Pital hill.

Here in Pital, you will find yourself at the highest point in El Salvador, here we admire the top of the mountain with views towards Honduras and parts of El Salvador, from here we will begin our first walk towards the international division with Honduras, after that, We headed to the rock formation of the Peña Rajada, where we found ourselves in a forest full of life and with impressive views of our country as well as the city of Ocotepeque. Finally, we will enjoy lunch, which is included.
