What to expect

Activity.1-The Art and Mind of Sword Drawing Techniques
-Training that hones both body and mind, fostering an unwavering spirit—not merely the sequence of drawing and sheathing the sword.

Activity.2-Mastering the Draw Stance
-Practice executing the entire sequence of drawing the sword from the scabbard and sheathing it in one fluid motion, following a prescribed form

Activity.3-Zanshin
-Maintaining vigilance after drawing the sword

Activity.4-Post-battle vigilance
-After striking, do not sheathe immediately. Assume the “Hassō no Kamae” stance to survey all directions, retreat seven steps, and finally sheathe the sword.
Partner practice with paired swords
Face each other in a prescribed stance, rigorously synchronizing distance, breathing, and gaze. Perfect the precision of the entire sequence from draw to draw-back.
Principle: Your opponent is a mirror reflecting yourself.

Activity.5-Seated Practice / Embodiment of the Spirit of Iaido
-Cultivate composure and focus. From this seated position, train to draw and strike instantly, then sheathe the sword according to form. The purpose is not merely to draw and strike, but to discipline mind and body, thereby improving oneself
