Itinerary

Duration: 4 days (approximately)
    Day 1

    DAY 0 — WELCOME DAY & DAY 1 — RISE & EXPLORE

    2 stops
  • 1
    Ha Giang

DAY 0 — WELCOME DAY 9:30 AM– The adventure begins. Ride in style on the cabin bus from Mad Monkey Hanoi and settle in for the comfortable journey, around 7 hours, to Ha Giang City.. We’ll make a quick pit stop so you can stretch, snack, or panic-buy whatever you forgot. ETA: Somewhere between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM — because Vietnam roads don’t do strict schedules. Once you arrive, it’s warm-up time: Meet the crew, unwind with a beer by the pool, and enjoy some local bites—before the real chaos kicks off tomorrow.

DAY 1 — RISE & EXPLORE Start the day right with breakfast, coffee, and big adventure energy. We hit the road at 8:30 AM toward Pác Sum Pass for killer views, then trek and swim at Khau Làn Waterfall. Next up: Quán Ba Heaven Gate (yep, it lives up to the name), lunch in Tam Son town, and a scenic ride across the Dông Hà suspension bridge and Thai An route. Coffee stop in Lüng Hö? Yes please. Then it’s off to Du Già Valley — check in, pool time, sunset mode activated. Wrap up with a local family dinner and a few shots of happy water (hydration, but make it spicy).

DAY 2 — DEEP DIVE INTO CULTURE & NATURE

    1 stop
  • 3
    Meo Vac

DAY 2 — DEEP DIVE INTO CULTURE & NATURE OPTION 1 We’re taking the scenic backroads through Red Dao and Nung villages, heading to Ban An stream for a chilled-out bamboo raft ride. After that, it’s time to level up — we hit Ma Pi Leng Pass (yep, the iconic one), climb for panoramic views, and brave the Skywalk if you’ve got the guts. We’ll spend the night nearby — because this kind of beauty deserves more than a drive-by. OPTION 2 First stop: an old French military post (think: history with a view), then coffee overlooking terraced rice fields and mountain peaks. Lunch is in Meo Vac, followed by a boat ride down the Nho Que River and a float through the dramatic Tu San Alley. We’ll end the day cruising the Ma Pi Leng Pass — also known as the Road of Happiness, but it’s the views that’ll really mess you up (in the best way). Overnight stay in the area.

DAY 3 — UNCOVER HIDDEN GEMS

    1 stop
  • 4
    Yen Minh

DAY 3 — UNCOVER HIDDEN GEMS We start the day heading southeast toward the Vietnam–China border — where your guide will drop some wild stories and local lore. Stop at Thien Huong village before hiking up to the Lung Cu Flag Pole for serious views (and the photo to prove it). Lunch is served in Lolo Chai, a village of H’mong clay houses, before we visit the H'mong King’s Palace and the iconic Tham Ma Pass. One last coffee stop at Can Ty Pass, then it’s on to Nam Dam village for dinner and your final night in the mountains.

  • Day 4

DAY 4 — SAY FAREWELL WITH STUNNING VIEWS

    1 stop
  • 5
    Quan Ba

DAY 4 — SAY FAREWELL WITH STUNNING VIEWS We kick off the day with a 4km hike to Lung Khuy Cave — expect around 326 calories burned (or at least enough to justify a big lunch after). The trail winds through wild karst landscapes sitting 850–1100m above sea level. Inside the cave? Total silence, broken only by the slow drip of water echoing through ancient rock. After the hike, we head to Quan Ba District for a final lunch with a view — then it’s back to Ha Giang for the journey back to your free night at Mad Monkey Hanoi.
