Swayambhunath Stupa is believed to have been founded over 2,000 years ago, making it one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal. According to legend, the stupa emerged spontaneously from a lotus flower in a primordial lake that once covered the Kathmandu Valley. This sacred Buddhist site features a gleaming white dome, gilded spire, and all-seeing eyes of Buddha.
