    Visit the incredible Colosseum - one of the world’s most iconic buildings. Site of gladiator contests, animal fights and all manner of (sometimes) gruesome entertainment, this building was one of the original major sports venues. With your guide you will visit the first and second levels of the Colosseum, hearing the stories and legends that have made this one of history’s most enduring icons.

    Move on to the nearby Roman Forum, the heart of the ancient city, where regular Romans, where the likes of Mark Antony gave their speeches to the people, where triumphal parades wound through the streets, and where Julius Caesar was honoured as a god after his death.
