Discover the remarkable coastline and history of Maria Island from both water and land, gaining a unique perspective on its ancient geology, secluded bays and fascinating past.
Cruise to Ile Des Phoques and venture deep into Tasmania's largest granite sea caves including Rainbow Cave with is natural skylight. Take in the stunning views of Maria Island, including famous landmarks such as the Painted Cliffs, Fossil Cliffs, and mountain peaks of Bishop and Clerk.
Look for a myriad of wildlife including seals, dolphins, wombats, kangaroos, eagles, wallabies, albatross and whales (during migration).
Step ashore to spend around two hours exploring Maria Island. Join a guided walk of Darlington's World Heritage-listed convict settlement. Lunch is provided and can be enjoyed during your time on the island.

Cruise & Walk day tour of Tasmania's stunning Maria Island National Park. The tour combines a wilderness cruise of Ile des Phoques and northwestern and northeastern Maria Island coastline. Venture deep into Tasmania's largest granite sea caves. Experience the spectacular Rainbow Cave, where a massive natural skylight floods the cavern with light. Take in sweeping views of the 620-metre high dolerite peaks of Bishop and Clerk rising above the Tasman Sea. At the Fossil Cliffs, discover limestone containing marine fossils dating back around 300 million years. Admire the patterned and coloured sandstone of the Painted Cliffs, sculpted by wind and waves.

Enter onto Maria Island National Park for a 2-hour guided walk of Maria's UNESCO World Heritage listed convict settlement. Come face to face with Maria Island's iconic native wildlife including wombats, kangaroos, wallabies, Cape Barren geese and even possibly Tasmanian devils. Maria Island is the best place in the world to see wombats in the wild!
