Hamada's favorite climbing kiln is also preserved on the premises, allowing visitors to observe his creative environment up close. This is a place where visitors can deeply appreciate the world of Shoji Hamada in an environment rich in nature.

  Jonai-zaka Street is the main street in Mashiko Town where you can enjoy the charm of Mashiko pottery to the fullest. The street is lined with numerous pottery stores and galleries, where you can find a wide variety of pottery, from traditional Mashiko pottery to contemporary designs. There are also pottery studios scattered along the street, where visitors can experience the art of making ceramics by hand or using a potter's wheel. Just walking along the streets, you can feel the atmosphere of the kilns and the skills of the craftsmen up close, and experience the warmth that only a pottery town can offer.
