This full-day walking tour connects Hiroshima’s tradition, memory and future along one storyline. This tour is great for any types of travelers , such as History buffs and soccer fans, who hope for peace.
You’ll visit the sacred island of Miyajima, cruise the Hiroshima World Heritage sea route to the Atomic Bomb Dome, learn about the atomic bombing at the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, then walk around the new downtown football stadium Edion PEACE WING Hiroshima.
Edion PEACE WING Hiroshima, a new “city stadium that creates excitement 365 days a year”, and walk through the public areas of Hiroshima Stadium Park. On certain days, you can enter Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima for free. Please check the tour photos for details.
This is a walking tour of about 7 hours with several kilometers of walking. The tour does not include match viewing.

1Itsukushima Shrine
Walk through the shopping street and along the shoreline. View the famous “floating” torii gate and Itsukushima Shrine from the outside. Learn about the island’s history, religion and nature.

2Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
Free time for lunch at a local restaurant (for example, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki). Walk through the Peace Memorial Park, visiting the Cenotaph, Peace Flame and other major monuments. See the Atomic Bomb Dome from the outside and hear about the events of 6 August 1945 and Hiroshima’s message of peace.

3Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, located in Hiroshima, Japan, is a poignant and significant institution dedicated to documenting the events and aftermath of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The museum aims to educate visitors about the devastating effects of nuclear warfare and to promote peace and the abolition of nuclear weapons.

Move to Edion PEACE WING Hiroshima on foot or by tram plus short walk, depending on the day’s conditions. Walk around the stadium exterior and public spaces of Hiroshima Stadium Park. Learn about Sanfrecce Hiroshima, local fan culture and the stadium’s design concept of “wings of hope” and “a city stadium that creates excitement 365 days a year.” Please note: stadium interior access is not guaranteed. On certain days, you can enter Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima for free. Please check the tour photos for details.
