Fukuoka is often loved for feeling real and livable—where history, everyday culture, and food are packed into a compact city. This private tour begins in Hakata, the area where Fukuoka’s story is easiest to understand through traditions, local streets, and places that still shape daily life.
The morning route is fixed for clarity and context, featuring Kushida Shrine, known as the guardian shrine of Hakata, and the Hakatamachiya Furusatokan, where you can experience Hakata’s cultural heritage up close. After lunch, choose one afternoon option that matches your interests—classic city sights, modern waterfront landmarks, a sports-themed plan, nature at Uminonakamichi. This tour is customizable upon request.
We may be able to arrange Avispa Fukuoka's Home Stadium, visit and help secure match tickets when possible—please contact us before booking (or immediately after booking) to confirm. If it’s not possible, we’ll help you switch to another afternoon option that matches your interests.
The guide will be waiting for you at your hotel lobby, at the arrival gate of the cruise or airport with your name sign.

Often affectionately called “Okushida-san,” Kushida Shrine is considered the guardian shrine of Hakata and is closely tied to local tradition and community identity. It’s long associated with prosperity and longevity, and its history is deeply woven into the story of Hakata.
Located near Kushida Shrine, this museum offers a clear look into traditional Hakata life and culture, including festival heritage and crafts. It’s a compact but high-impact stop that helps visitors understand the “why” behind Hakata’s neighborhoods and traditions.
This is a location included in Option A “Hakata Culture Walk”. Yusentei Park began as a villa and garden built in 1754 for the Kuroda clan, and it’s known as one of Fukuoka’s early pond-centered Japanese gardens. It’s a calm, photogenic break from the city pace—especially good for travelers who want a quieter, “local Kyoto-like” moment in Fukuoka.
This is a location included in Option A “Hakata Culture Walk”. Tochoji is famous for the Fukuoka Daibutsu (Great Buddha)—a massive seated statue that stands over 10 meters tall, with an impressive carved halo behind it. The temple grounds also include iconic structures like a five-storied pagoda, offering a strong contrast to the morning’s shrine atmosphere.
This is a location included in Option A “Hakata Culture Walk”. Canal City is a major shopping and entertainment complex built around a canal and open plaza spaces. It’s also known for its fountain shows and large-scale nighttime projection-mapping entertainment, making it a fun “modern Hakata” finish to a culture-heavy day.
This is a location included in Option B “Nature & Leisure Plan”. This vast national park sits on the sandbar-shaped Uminonakamichi, between Hakata Bay and the Genkai Sea. Visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers and wide open spaces—an easy way to add nature and “big views” to a city day. You can enjoy Uminonakamichi in the way that fits your style: glide through the vast seaside park on a guided Segway tour for big-sky views and ocean breezes, or spend a relaxed, weather-proof visit at Marine World Uminonakamichi, an aquarium known for its impressive marine life and shows.
This is a location included in Option C “Baseball Entertain Sightseeing”. Next to the dome area, BOSS E-ZO FUKUOKA is a multi-floor entertainment complex featuring attractions such as teamLab experiences and viewpoint/ride elements from the upper levels. It’s designed for hands-on fun and “wow” moments that feel very different from historic Hakata.
This is a location included in Option C “Baseball Entertain Sightseeing”. This museum is dedicated to the legendary home-run hitter Sadaharu Oh, combining exhibits with interactive zones that let visitors feel baseball through activities like batting/pitching-style attractions. It’s a strong fit even for casual fans because the experience is visual and playful, not just “look and read.”
This is a location included in Option C “Entertain Sightseeing”. Fukuoka Tower is the city’s signature seaside observation tower, offering wide views over the bay and cityscape. It’s generally open from 9:30–22:00 (last entry 21:30), though schedules can vary by conditions, so we time the visit around crowds and daylight.
This is a location included in Option D “Experience Avispa Fukuoka”. Now we call this stadium "Best Denki Stadium". Best Denki Stadium is Avispa Fukuoka’s home ground, a football-specific stadium in the “Hakata no Mori” sports park area near the airport. It’s widely used not only for soccer but also for other major sports events, and it’s a great place to experience a local Japanese stadium atmosphere. ◆ Availability / Inquiry Note (Required) Availability / Inquiry Required: This option depends on match schedules and stadium operations and may not be available on every date. We may be able to arrange a stadium visit/tour and/or help secure match tickets when possible—please contact us before booking (or immediately after booking) to confirm. If it’s not possible, we’ll help you switch to another afternoon option that matches your interests.
