As Brigid’s father was a druid, this was a reknown place in the ancient ways.     Travel into west Donegal and the energetic can climb the iconic Errigal mountain. Onwards through the gaeltacht areas along the ocean to Slieve League and the highest seacliffs in Europe. The option is for those groups who choose not to walk up Errigal, may be interested in an evening boat trip to enjoy stories of the area from the boat captains or do a little mackerel fishing or maybe encounter some local dolphins. Boa Island on Lower Lough Erne has a rural community graveyard with some of the most mysterious and beautiful carved figures found anywhere. Enniskillen is the County town of Fermanagh and the boarding point for a boat tour to Devinish Island whose Round Tower is the only one in Ireland that you can climb up inside to appreciate the job of the monastery watchman when Ireland was known as the land of saints and scholars. Afterwards it will be time to turn south again towards Dublin for next stage of your journey.
